More Info

I love my bloomers! I went directly to a Roller Derby ‘bout right after purchasing them, and felt 100% comfortable while sitting on the bleachers in my summer dress. My friends loved the peek-a-boo lace and kept asking about other pettipant designs. Thanks!

I believe that things should be made well and made to last so every Ivalieu is sewn with care by the talented ladies at JLD-Studios in Portland, Oregon. I also firmly believe we each deserve to feel comfortable and look good so your Ivalieu is designed with a wide waistband that smooths without squeezing and it's made with durable, performance fabrics that wick and move with you. And because we each own different styles of dresses and skirts - from mini and maxi to A-line and more - we should have different styles of pettipants. That's why I make Ivalieu in three silhouettes: the fitted Sport, the versatile Savvy, and the deliriously fun Rococo

*I also believe that it's your business as to whether you wear underwear under your Ivalieu.  Of course, if you think you might need to return or exchange it, please keep the undies on (see below).

Lots of people ask about the word, "Ivalieu."  I've always loved names from the turn of last century so I scoured genealogy sites and pored over lists of long-lost relatives. And there I fell upon the name of my great-grandmother's sister: Evelyn Ivalieu Nisewarner.  She grew up near Lovettsville, Virginia, where I was raised, and later moved to Warrenton, Virginia, the area where my husband grew up. Ivalieu. It's a beautiful name that bridges past and present.
